Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

LatticeKit is a product of Long Tail Ventures (ABN 78 655 643 816) — "we", "us", "our". This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through latticekit.io. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

This website has no accounts, no logins, and no analytics or advertising trackers. In ordinary browsing we collect very little.

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We use these to serve the site, diagnose faults, and detect abuse.
  • Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is stored in your browser under the key lk-theme. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
  • What you send us. If you register interest or email us, we collect what you choose to provide — typically your name, work email, organisation, and your message.

We do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, and we do not buy personal information from third parties.

2. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry or interest registration.
  • To keep the site secure, available, and working correctly.
  • To send you information about LatticeKit that you have asked for. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for profiling or automated decision-making.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We set no cookies for advertising, analytics, or tracking. The only thing this site stores in your browser is your light or dark theme preference, which is functional and stays local to your device.

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. That request tells Google your IP address and which page requested the font. We do not control what Google does with it — see Google’s privacy policy.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate — website hosting, email, and customer-contact tools — and only so far as they need it to do that job.

Some of those providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We may also disclose information where the law requires or authorises it.

5. Security and retention

We hold personal information in access-controlled systems and encrypt it in transit.

We keep enquiry and interest-registration records only as long as needed for the purpose we collected them, then delete or de-identify them. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If an eligible data breach occurs we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Privacy Act requires.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it.

We will respond to any such request within 30 days. Making a request is free, though we may charge a reasonable cost for providing access.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first. If we do not resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

7. Visitors outside Australia

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful basis for handling your information is our legitimate interest in operating this website and responding to you, or your consent where you have given it.

You may also have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, which you can exercise by making a request as described above.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it last changed shown at the top.
